The idea to create a website for expats’ insurance was sparked by the growing number of people living and working abroad, including remote workers and digital nomads, who need flexible and comprehensive insurance solutions.
Common Insurance Challenges Faced by Expats
Expats face challenges like scattered insurance information, complex policies, varying country rules, difficulty finding suitable coverage, managing policies remotely, trust issues with foreign providers, and unclear costs.
Problem-Solving Approach to Designing for Expats’ Insurance
For this project, I used market research and competitor analysis to identify expats’ insurance challenges, then designed a clear site structure, smooth user flows, and consistent visuals to create a simple, accessible solution.
Key Improvements for a More User-Centered Expat Insurance Platform
The first version of the expat insurance website focused on core functions with a minimal design, offering basic policy overviews, quote forms, and introductory content.
Future improvements included a more cohesive visual design, policy comparison tools, enhanced customer support, mobile optimization, to better meet expats’ needs.
