The Parent Control app, the Parentry, is created to equip parents to be aware and make the internet a safer and more useful place for their childs education.
Coinedone helps children learn safely online by keeping them focused and free from distractions.
It gives parents tools to monitor and manage their kids’ online study activities, promoting good study habits in a secure environment.
Problem statement
With the rise of online learning, especially after COVID-19, children are easily distracted by games, social media, and other online content.
Parents struggle to ensure their kids stay focused and safe while studying online, leading to concerns about ineffective learning and poor study habits.
Design and Development Approach
I approached the Parentry project in a structured way.
First, I researched and understood the needs of parents and children to make sure the app was user-focused. Then, I created a roadmap outlining key features like study routines, permissions, and progress tracking.
During development, I focused on building a simple, user-friendly interface and making sure all features worked smoothly. I tested the app thoroughly to ensure it was secure, effective, and easy to use.
Learnings from Early Versions
The first version of the Parentry app offered only core features like setting study schedules, switching between Downtime and Focus modes, and granting app or website permissions.
The design was simple with minimal customization.
Early user feedback revealed the need for a more polished design and expanded features, which shaped future updates.

Project Outcome
