About the Project

To The Plane is a navigation app that helps you find your way around the airport as easily as possible and only needs your flight number and date of journey to do so. Also, it knows what documents are needed and provides a neat space for you to keep them all ready to show to the airport staff.

The Scenario

After having a great time in Munich, enjoying the city, its sights, and yummy German food, it's time to go back home by plane. But getting through the airport might be a bit tricky. You know which terminal you're leaving from, but you're not sure how to find where to leave your suitcase, which security line is the best, or which gate your plane will leave from. Plus, you're not sure what papers you need because of the Corona situation.

Goal of the Design

To make the airport process easier for the passengers during the COVID times

To make the user flow is easier and interactive, so that the user is able to board the flight without any hustle

User Flow

UI Screens

The airport navigation app allows users to select their preferred airport and input their flight details, such as flight number and date. The user is provided with the terminal number and additional flight information.

Armed with the terminal number and the gate information, they know where they need to go, and their estimated time of arrival to the check-in counters.

Once the user reaches and starts the check-in, they have all the documents available in the app to be shown at the counter.

After a successful and hustle free check in, the user is happy and navigates to the security check. They are provided with all details regarding the security check, and their estimated time of arrival.

At the security check, the user is provided with a security check guide, which will get them ready for a stress-free screening of their belongings.

After the security check is complete, the user navigates to the boarding gate, as they are informed about the gate number and their estimated time of arrival.

At the boarding gate, the user can explore the nearby amenities, check for restaurants, washrooms and other areas where they would like to access as they wait to board their flight.

Otherwise, the user can navigate directly to their seat, and take off to their destination.
